Egypt versus Ghana - AFCON 2017

In less than a minute the Black Stars of Ghana will be facing their Egyptian opponents in Group D of the ongoing African Cup of Nations at Stad de Porte Gentil.

Egypt has won the AFCON cup more times than Ghana. The record between Egypt and Ghana in the AFCON is perfectly balanced; with one win each and one draw (two goals each).

Their last meeting in the competition dates back to the 2010 final where the scores was 1-0 in favour of  Egypt.

The line up for Egypt includes, Essam El-Hadary, Ahmed Fathi, Ahmed Hegazy, Ali Gabr, Ahmed Elmohamady, Tarek Hamed, Mohamed Elneny, Mohamed Salah, Abdallah El-Said, Mahmoud ‘Trezeguet’, Marwan Mohsen.

Whilst Ghana's team includes,  Brimah Razak, Andy Yiadom, Samuel Afful, Jona Mensah, John Boye, Daniel Amartey, Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Andrew Ayew, Christian Atsu, Samuel Tetteh, Asamoah Gyan.
